UKRAINE
FIRE AND FOREST DEFENSE INITIATIVE UKRAINE
FFDI-UKR
FIREFRONT FOUNDATION IS PROUD TO SUPPORT FFDI UKR
THE OPERATING REALITY
Large areas of Ukrainian forest and wildland are impacted by landmines, unexploded ordnance, damaged infrastructure, and restricted access. When these areas burn, conventional ground firefighting and post fire recovery can be unsafe or impossible.
FFDI-UKR SUPPORTS
-
TRAINING EXCHANGE
Training exchanges for operations in hazardous and post conflict environments where best practices are shared between partners and adapted to local doctrine, terrain, fuels, and operational reality.
-
NEW TECHNOLOGY AND SYSTEMS
The development and funded deployment of remote and robotic wildfire response tools to reduce responder exposure and expand capability where access is restricted.
-
NEW METHODOLOGIES
Development and testing of new methodologies for wildfire response, assessment, and land release in contaminated landscapes and operational environments.
-
COORDINATION AND PLANNING
Support with coordination, situational awareness, and operational planning through partner led implementation and shared Operational logistics. Direct funding and in-kind donation of needed equipment.
HOW FUNDING IS USED
Funds support partner led actions including project planning, deployment readiness, equipment enablement, training exchange cycles, pilot operations, evaluation, and reporting.
JOIN THE MISSION
We invite funders, technology partners, and research institutions to support wildfire resilience in Ukraine and the development of transferable models for other high risk and constrained environments.
