Prescribed fire and technology validation in the field

BIG IDEAS, REAL IMPACT

FireFront Foundation acts as a global connector linking technology innovators, government agencies, NGOs, and private partners to accelerate wildfire resilience projects. Support enables partner led implementation, equipment deployment, training exchange, and applied validation.

  • WILDFIRE AND RESILIENCE PROJECTS

Projects move from validated need to implemented solution through aligned funding, planning support, equipment enablement, and execution support that reinforces local ownership.

  • PRESCRIBED FIRE CAPACITY

Support for prescribed burn associations through equipment access, training exchange, capacity building, and Burn Boss qualification pathways that expand safe prescribed fire as a wildfire risk reduction tool.

  • FIRETECH AND DUAL USE VALIDATION

Field testing and evaluation of tools and methods so technology is shaped by operational reality and proven in real conditions. This includes responsible dual use adaptation for civilian wildfire missions.

UKRAINE

FIRE AND FOREST DEFENSE INITIATIVE UKRAINE

(FFDI-UKR)

A primary current effort is FFDI-UKR, supporting wildfire resilience in conflict affected and post conflict landscapes. Large areas of forest and wildland are impacted by unexploded ordnance, damaged infrastructure, and restricted access. These conditions significantly increase risk for conventional firefighting, land management, and post fire recovery.
