ABOUT FIREFRONT FOUNDATION

FireFront Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing global wildfire resilience through technology, training, and international collaboration. We design and implement projects that strengthen the capacity of firefighting and forest-management organizations to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing climate and increasing wildfire intensity.

Our Mission

Our mission is to develop and deploy innovative technologies and operational models that protect lives, forests, and communities worldwide.
Through research, partnerships, and field validation, FireFront Foundation helps bring next-generation tools and methods from concept to deployment — empowering those on the frontlines with systems that are safer, smarter, and more effective.

What We Do

FireFront Foundation focuses on three interconnected areas of impact:

Technology Development and Validation

We work with defense and dual-use technology developers, research institutes, and emergency agencies to adapt and field-test new systems for wildfire detection, suppression, and land rehabilitation, including autonomous ground and aerial platforms, decision-support tools, and communications systems.

International Capacity Building

Our projects provide training, advisory support, and operational frameworks that strengthen local and national fire agencies. By aligning with global standards such as the NWCG curriculum, we help countries develop their own qualified wildfire crews, instructors, and technical specialists.

Environmental Recovery and Resilience

We support programs that restore forests and ecosystems affected by wildfire, conflict, or contamination. From land-release operations in mine-affected regions to post-fire rehabilitation in fragile landscapes, we partner with experts to design integrated, sustainable solutions.

A Platform for Collaboration

FireFront Foundation acts as a global connector — linking technology innovators, government agencies, NGOs, and private partners to accelerate wildfire resilience projects. Our first flagship initiative, FFDI-UKR (Fire & Forest Defence Initiative – Ukraine), brings together Ukrainian defense-tech developers and international fire experts to create autonomous systems for fighting fires and restoring forests in areas contaminated by landmines and unexploded ordnance.

JOIN US

We believe that wildfire resilience is a shared responsibility and a global opportunity for innovation. Whether you are a researcher, developer, donor, or firefighter, you can help us build a safer, more sustainable future for the world’s forests and communities.

Together, we can transform how the world prepares for, responds to, and recovers from wildfire
